This website was created out of admiration for skateboarders. The young people I meet at the skate parks have a passion for skating and take skating to the next level. They don’t spend their extra time in front of a T.V. They are out practicing, learning new tricks, and talking with and encouraging their friends. Skateboarders are very interesting people, like most other people that support each other, laugh with and at each other, and can “Stand” the pain they bring upon themselves.
The Story Behind The Name
My name is Vicki Misener and my husband’s name is Mike. We are proud to say we started HareRazorSkateboardShop.com. Have you seen the skaters at the parks? They have a lot of hair and the tricks they do make my hair stand on end, if you know what I mean. That is where we came up with the name Hare Razor Skateboard Shop.
The Beginning
Our son Ken, who is now 36, loved to skateboard. Tony Hawk and BAM Skateboards were all he was into, for a time. Who knew that, remembering his love for skateboarding would play a part inspiring us to start HareRazorSkateboardShop.com. Mike and I began to investigate whether or not there was enough interest in skateboarding to start up our e-commerce business.
Man, we didn’t have to look very hard to see that there was more than enough interest out there. To confirm this interest, a young man, who rode my school bus, asked me to try to sell his skateboard on EBAY. He had overheard me talking to some kids about how I was learning to sell on the Internet. He said that he had a skateboard he wanted to sell.
I told him he needed to get permission from his parents. The next day he came to the bus with Mom and his old Baker skateboard. I couldn’t believe the amount of people who were interested in a much-used skateboard. This skateboarding business came to be very soon there after.
I like to go to the local skateboard parks and get to know the kids and show them what Hare Razor Skateboard Shop has available for them. Our prices are very reasonable and they know we are there for them. We hope that you come to gain the same trust in us.
